Our Client Is Seeking For A Data Center Technician – Ii . The Candidates Needs To Ensures That Facilities Problems Are Identified And Repaired Quickly, That Contractors Deliver Quality Services, And That Internal Customer Demands Are Met.
Develop Creative Approaches To Keep Operational Costs To A Minimum, Improve Efficiency, And Implement New Strategies.

Job Responsibilities:

Create And Maintain Documentation (35%)
Cabling Standards.
Labeling Standards.
Floor Plans (Power Cooling, Cabling, And Layers).
Maintains Floor Plan And Rack Elevation Drawings Of All Rooms For All Locations.
Ensures The Proper Storage And Organization Of Drawings.
Interprets Drawings At Layer In Order To Provide Direction To Outside Contractors, Service Vendors And Internal Is Staff. Administration And Management Of Moves, Adds And Changes In Equipment Rooms (30%)
Server Racks, Data &Amp; Power Cables, Servers/Frames
Ensures The Proper And Safe Handling Of Servers, Frames And Equipment From Receiving To Placement In The Rack, Or Designated Floor Location.
Ensures The Proper Installation Of The Server In The Rack, Or Floor Location, Consistent With Design/Plans Accounting For Efficient Cooling And Power Specifications, Or Requirements.
Works With Server, Network And Telecom Engineers For The Scheduling Of Contractors For Installs, Updates, Pm'S And Any Special Projects That Require Third Parties Access To It Rooms, Both During Regular Shift And After Hours. Asset Management Of Equipment Rooms (20%)
Maintains And Updates Asset Database (Server, Network, Telecom, And All It Room Support Equipment; Everything Except Desktops And Printers). Maintains Equipment Database And Equipment Related Data Attributes.
Equipment Manufacturer, Model/Type, Serial No., Rack Assignment, Application Host, Network Port Assignment, Etc.
Ensures Proper Labeling Of Devices, Equipment, Racks.
Performs Regular Inventories (At Minimum Quarterly) Of All Rooms To Ensure Consistency Of The Database And Rack Elevations And Other Parts And Supplies. Administration And Management Of Physical Space And Room Environments Of All Equipment Rooms (15%)
Ensures The Proper Organization And Storage Of Spare Parts And Equipment Onsite And At Offsite Storage Facilities.
Provides Direction To Service Teams In The Proper Organization And Storage Of Spare Parts And Equipment.
Monitors And Manages To Capacity (Hvac, Power &Amp; Space).
According To Hot &Amp; Isle Configuration Cooling Design Ensures That Hvac Units Are Maintained Properly And Can Provide On-Demand Cooling.
Supervises Electricians In The Fabrication And Installation Of Power Cables And Circuit Breakers.
Supervises The Placement Of Sever Racks According To The Floor Plan Ensuring Proper Front And Rear Clearances.

Required Experience:

Experience With Ip Network Environment And Have Experience With Lans/Wans.
(Required) Two Or More Years At Journeyman Or Technician Level 1, Or The Equivalent In A Critical Environment (Preference Given To Data Center, Hospital, Or Power Plant Experience).
(Required 0-2Yrs) Two Or More Years In Mechanical/Hvac, Electrical, Or A Combination Of Both; Mechanical Applicants Must Have Or Obtain A Universal Refrigerant Handler'S Certification And Electrical Applicants Must Have Or Obtain Licensing If Required By The Local Jurisdiction. (Required 0-2Yrs)
At Least 4 Years Of Plant Operation Or Working Knowledge Of Epa/Osha Regulations And Training Experience. (Required 3-5Yrs)
